We’re very fortunate in Des Moines to have a plethora of amazing events and opportunities to network and connect with those around us. With great arts, culture, civic, business, startup, science, food, medical, education, and nonprofit communities, it’s hard to say we’re missing much. However, sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the great things going on in our own communities that we miss out on opportunities to connect with those radically different from us and keep from stretching our brains in new and exciting ways.
TEDxDesMoines is unique in that it is an event purposefully designed to bring together the most passionate and active people from a wide cross-section of communities in Des Moines for our collective benefit. This diverse array of speakers, performers, and attendees helps reawaken different parts of our minds and adds a little bit of that spontaneity that makes life interesting.
